Many schools have different planning methods. Most of which are fixed, and can stop teachers from planning. This can also make teachers less flexible. It is important for inexperienced teachers to plan ahead, this can make conducting lessons easy for dealing with language problems that might arise. Most teachers will make sure that flexibility and note taking are part of the format of making a lesson plan. There are 3 steps to planning a lesson, first writing down achievements what you expect students to achieve by the end of the lesson, next a working document, a document that keeps you on lesson target. This makes the class more enjoyable. And last a record of what the class has done, and the materials used. Teacher write down their notes in log books. Keeping an accurate record is important. By keeping the lesson plan simple, not scripting the lesson, structuring it, write down the activity time limit, check for a balance of skills and keeping it flexible the lesson planning should be smooth. A smooth lesson require a check of your lesson plan, a run through of the lesson, making sure all the equipment works, laying out materials and aids, arranging the seating, making sure the board is clean, and being ready to chat when students come in. A lesson plan should include a
structured plan, so that you can use it as a guide. Learning objectives, personal aims, context (lesson theme), teaching aids (materials and other aids), Anticipated problems, procedures of the activity, the phase (Engage, Study or Activate), Timing (how long the lesson will take place), Interaction (t-s, s-s), the class level, the number of students, date and time, and the Teachers and observerÂ’s names. Planning a sequence of lessons is more or less the same as planning for a single lesson but flexibility, goals, revisions, and all skills are incorporated. The teacher will want to improve and monitor the quality of the lessons. An effective way of doing this is by making notes and improving the lesson. Focusing on lesson strengths and weaknesses teachers will be able to develop planning in terms of context. A self evaluation form will keep a complete evaluation of notes for planning. ", This lesson discusses how to set up a lesson plan. It goes over each of the headings
