Again as with tenses I found this Unit enlightening, but again found that some explanations required me to doubt the information I had processed, where no doubt even in answering the test for this Unit I have confused tenses with each other, e.g. Q.7 I found myself asking the questions over and over again because of doubt, is it a PREDICTION, based on evidence? or no evidence? Then found myself asking questions of the question itself, I think it will snow tomorrow (if based on no evidence, it is a guess, not a prediction, if it is based on a prediction with evidence what is the evidence/circumstances, 'I think it will snow tomorrow' Prediction based on evidence (I think) = 'going to' future. Prediction based on no evidence (it will) It'll rain before morning. both examples gave me trouble as to which usage it was the correct usage, unless I probably got it completely wrong and it was neither then I have missed the point completely but to my understanding it was a PREDICTION made on present evidence, but the multiple choice answer is only for a Prediction(with no present evidence), the 'I think' part(yes I know it wasn't highlighted) stated it is a Prediction with Evidence....IT WILL SNOW = future simple/ prediction without evidence.....hence my choice of logic! P.S. previous
Unit 7 Reflection was cut short due to a over enthusiastic touch pad on the laptop which submitted before finishing!", Future tense seem to tie back into the basic principles which guide the past and present tense although now it is easier to absorb the information based on the grammatical rules established in earlier. It is interesting to think about which way would be optimal when presenting the information to the students. Do you present like this course
