After watching the two videos , despite that the teacher and the students are the same and the context is the same but there is a big big gap between both of the ways of explanation. In the first lesson , the teacher seems unhappy or worried about something and that reflects on his students that they felt confused and not satisfied from the lesson , also he made them afraid of answering or participating in the lesson by clarifying that the lesson is very very easy and that put a pressure on them as they seem to be beginners in the language so he should give them confidence using gestures and miming as he does in the second lesson. Also , he used the boardwork on writing only not sharing the information and that made them misunderstood and felt bored. While they were answering the worksheets , he didn't monitor them and he didn't ask them to work in pairs or even use the ( S-S ) or the ( S-T ) interaction , he is always asking direct questions not using mimes to clarify it. In the second lesson , it's totally different as a new character , he introduced himself first , put a big smile on his face during the whole lesson to make them feel comfortable and ask the pupils to present themselves to use their names while discussing the lesson together. After that , as
I mentioned before , he used gestures and miming to describe some strange animals to make it closer to their brains , he encourages them by clapping their hands together and putting a smile on their faces and that made them willing to learn and participate , he had his lesson prepared and his flascards were ready , made them feel that he is one of them and use the timing in each part of his lesson , increase the peer working to make them more effective , he used also the drilling pronounciation by stressing on the "t"" sound in can't.
