Mary from the US took the 120-hour TEFL course with tutor support and videos after being recommended the course by her friends who are already teaching. In this TEFL review video, Mary discusses her experience of taking the course. Mary found the course videos to be helpful in presenting the course materials in a more visual way, which helped her to better absorb the information. She also found the tutors to be very responsive to her questions often replying within 24 hours. One of the main benefits of the course was that Mary was able to study in her own time enabling her to fit study around her job.
Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.
This unit covered the basic four present tenses: Present Simple, Present Continuous, Present Perfect, and Present Perfect Continuous. New to me was the specific difference between present perfect and present perfect continuous (i.e. the focus in the present perfect continuous is on the activity and not the result.) I can certainly understand why tenses can be difficult for the student -- I have the same difficulties in French -- French has a lot of tenses. This unit is about Present tenses. The present tenses are divided into present simple, present continuous, present perfect and present perfect continuous. This unit provides examples and uses of each of the different types of present tenses. For example, present simple is used for routines, present continuous is used for actions that happen at the time of speaking, present perfect is used for actions that started in the past but continue in the present, etc.
