To reach his goals and his aims the teacher should create the need and desire, in the students, to communicate. The teacher should also help the students to overcome the potential languages hurdles by encouraging them to speak and give them opportunity to speak (pair work, group work) For productive skills, the selection of the activity and the ability of the teacher to conduct it will have great influence on studentsÂ’ response. I think creative writing is a good way to identify the risk of ingrained errors and amend spelling issues. Also it allows the students to engage at their own pace in the activity giving them more time to think, which will help them build the language structure and accuracy. Creative writing enables the students to be aware of their language ability, which will strengthen their confidence and help improve their language fluency.", The unit focuses on the importance and understanding of the differences
between accuracy and fluency. There are various techniques used to encourage verbal interaction within the classroom and a comprehensive guide for teachers to follow when planning a speaking lesson. I feel I've learnt how games can motivate the students to become more fluent speakers and increase their level of confidence when using productive skills., In this unit we covered productive skills which include writing and speaking. It seemed like the general theme was to make sure you decide whether or not the activities were going to be based on accuracy or fluency. This is because the your interaction and planning would change dramatically depending on the goal. This is not to say that you can't use both in the same lesson. That was clearly pointed out through the lesson plan examples. Just as in the unit before the material needs to interest the students and getting them engaged is very important. Use of games can be very helpful with this
