Lesson planning Lesson plans are not very important but its necessary because it helps the teaher create a logical sequence of the lesson in other words it creates order, teachers will use it as a working document as a guidance, it also heks the teacher record of what has been taught. If for any instance the teacher gets ill and another teacher will have to substitute the teacher the lesson plan will help the substitute keep up the lesson. Lesson plans include some general information about the class, also the process and the aims that the teacher has to do by the end of the lesson. For general information the following are necessary; name of the teacher, class level, context (whatÂ’s the lesson about? If there is a grammar point?), date and time, expected numbers of students, focus (How will the teaching be according to the context), learner objectives ( By the end of the class students should be able toÂ…) teacher aims ( personal feedback, things to improve), anticipated problems for the students ( Things teacher will know students will habe problem with) with a solution, anticipated problems for teacher (Things teacher will know they will have problems with during the class) also with a solution included,procedure, phase timing and interaction. For the area of procedure
activities depending on the phase will be written. For the area of phase teachers will use one of the areas of the ESA. For the timing we will write the minutes that are necessary for the activity, and the interaction if it will be a student-teacher talk time, or teacher to student talk time, or a student-student interaction time. The process that includes; procedure, timing, phase and interaction will be written with each ESA area. During the process of study demonstaration of the activity, elicit a correct answer, and give out the material are the golden rules. While students do this teacher monitors the class without stoping them of what they are doing, see the progress of each student or group, also see common errors students have, and finally when the teacher sees every students has finished the class the teacher will not correct but they will have time to self correct themselves, then they will peer correct from another student, and then finally teacher will correct. Another important factor when the teacher starts monitoring, the teacher can self evaluate herself; asking the extent her/his goal went, accuracy of anticipated problems and modifications or solutions to be done. After this is over teacher will complete the sequence of lesson which includes goals, flexibility
and variety. Goals ; Does it lead to an examination or any syllabus?. Flexibility; can we adjust the sequence to their needs? Variety; Cover all skills that are necessary skills like speaking, writing, reading and listening.", This unit was able to teach me how to lesson plan effectively
