Unit 9: Lesson Planning provided an overview of how to create and execute a lesson plan. It is important to note that although lesson plans are helpful for the teacher in order to create a logical sequence for the material being taught, to serve as a working document, and to be a record of what has been taught (for covering purpose as well), the students should ultimately be the driving force in deciding what to do in class; therefore, lesson plans must be simple and flexible to their needs. The plan should contain general information about the class and the procedure in which the material will be delivered to the students, the latter of which should utilize the ESA framework learned in Unit 3. Additionally, feedback is a crucial element in the teaching process. The process should first begin with self-correction before moving on to peer correction; only if and when none of the students are sure of the correct answer should the teacher intervene.
