Unit 8 In this Unit we learned the seven different forms of future tenses. This includes future simple, future continuous, future perfect, future perfect continuous, be going future, present simple future, and present continuous future. Future simple uses the “Subject” + “will” + “verb” form. It is used often with facts and certainties, promises, predictions, assumptions, speculations, spontaneous decisions, and threats. Future continuous uses the “subject” + “will be” + “present participle” form, ending in “-ing”. It has a wide variety of uses, and typical errors involve missing out on some of the language structure. Future Perfect uses “subject” + “will have” + “past participle” form. It is used to say something that will have been done, completed, or achieved by a certain time in the future. Mistakes typically come from confusing the form with the future perfect continuous form. Future perfect continuous uses the “subject” + “will have been” + “present participle” form. Uses include saying how long something will have continued. Mistakes include omitting the “have” or the present participle. The ‘be going” future form uses the form of “subject”
+ “going to” + “infinitive verb”. It is used with intentions, predictions, and plans. Present simple form is normal present simple, and is used in formal situations, timetables and schedules, and impersonal tones. Finally, the present continuous form uses definite arrangements and definite plans without a set time frame. This summarizes all of the different future tenses. ", Unit 8 shows how to use the future tense system. there are seven but two of them are The Present simple and The Present continious could be a bit confiusing for learners since they are used as present tenses.
