In this unit we see 2 videos of an English language lesson using the ESA methodology. In the first video there were some basic errors from the teacher such as: not introducing himself or trying to know the students' names, speaking in a fast and complicated manner, keeps asking the same question in the same way even when the students don't know the answer, intimidating the students by saying that the language point is very easy, having wrong face expressions, in general he started the engage phase in a wrong manner. As a result he started the study phase in a wrong way where he didn't elicit the language point from the students, didn't explain it and spent too much time writing on the board. He didn't check understanding in a right way, handed the exercise sheets without explaining how to answer it or the time allowed. When asked a question he didn't understand he didn't try to understand and answer it. Also he answered a student's question in a wrong manner and time. In the activate stage he didn't explain the activity to the students well so many of them failed to do the activity and some did it in a wrong way. As a result the students didn't seem to understand the language point and didn't participate effectively. In the second video we see a lively and active teacher
whose attitude made the students participate effectively and conducted the lesson in a very good and effective manner which made the language point  well understood. From this unit I have learnt how to conduct a successful lesson and avoid the errors that lessen the lesson effectiveness.
