This unit is based on ESA demonstration videos, that are absolutely different. The first video is example of not the right model behavior of the teacher during the lesson. The second lesson is an example of efficient lesson. On the second video lesson the teacher started with introducing himself to the students, and tried to know and remember their names to build a better rapport with the students. The teacher used a game to involve students into the topic of the lesson, he grouped the students in pairs asked them to write on the list of paper as many animals as they can. After this the students started to name the animals and the teacher wrote on the blackboard. The teacher helped to the students to remember more animals usinf different gestures, hints and asking more questions. After this the teacher used the pictures of the different animals. To remember different verbs, which connected with the animals the teacher showed by himself animals and students guessed verbs. During study phase the teacher introduced to students can/cant structure. Making up the sentences what can /cant animals do helped to the students to practice this grammar pattern. During activate stage the teacher asked the students to create their own unreal animal and explain what can/can't it to the class,
but firstly he used an example of his own created animal to make students to understand the task. Also the teacher smiled to the students and pronounced all words clearly. So the second lesson was efficient and positive. Watching the first video I was feeling confused. During the first video lesson the teacher did a lot of mistakes such as he didn't introduce himself, started to ask modal verbs without giving an example and explanations, he couldn't remember students names and his behavior was not competent during whole lesson.
