However, it should not stop teacher to be flexible. 3-A record A lesson plan is a record of class activities and used materials during the lesson, and it also can be kept as reference to see what the class has done or if another teacher wants to cover the class. How should a lesson plan be written down? Every teacher has their own way to plan lessons, it can be a planning form, jot notes or logs. However, planning lesson should be simple, flexible, adaptable, structured, skill balanced and has a timed activity table. Being organized: Before starting the lesson it is preferable to do the following steps: Make sure you have your lesson plan and its aids and materials. Arrange the materials where it is easy to get and check that they work. Clean the board and chat with students as they enter the class it would break the ice and get them in the mood. What should be included in a lesson plan? Learner objectives: what the students should achieve. Personal aim:
what the teacher should achieve and improve. Context: the lesson theme and what is about and how it will fit in with the past and future lesson. Teaching aids: the need aids and materials during the lesson. Anticipated problems for the teacher and the students and how to fix them if they arise during the lesson. Monitoring Lessons: A good teacher would monitor his/her lesson to develop his/her skill and improve the lesson quality. Planning a sequence of lessons: When planning a sequence of lessons teacher should consider the following factors: Flexibility: teacher should not always stick with their planning but to be flexible. Update and edit their plans if it is necessary. Goals: an experienced teacher will build goals for the students into a sequence of lessons. Revision: lesson content needs to be continually reviewed over a sequence of lessons to ensure students retain this information. Variety and balance: Teacher should make sure all skills are included and given equal
