That was much better too! I do hope these theory units are going to help improve my overall score, which is a bit lower than I expected at this stage. Not happy with myself here. Right now, your main objective with lesson plans should be: 1. Layout - Does the lesson have an engage, study and activate phase? Are they easily recognizable through the use of headings? 2. Engage - To get the students thinking and speaking in English. No lesson point in the engage. 3. Study - The lesson point is covered in this stage. There should be some board work as well as an activity (worksheets?) to reinforce to material. 4. Activate - The students will put their language skills to use. They should be creating their own thoughts/ideas and speaking with one another. Games, surveys, role-plays, etc. work well in the activate. 5. Could somebody else follow my lesson plan and teach a successful class? There will be more on planning in a later unit. At this point we’re not after ‘the perfect plan”, mainly because there is no such animal! At this stage the objective is to see a coherent logical thought process.
